Oldham Lifelong Learning will be implementing the Department for Education (DfE) - Further education COVID-19 operational guidance that was updated on 2 January 2022
In accordance with this guidance, from 4 January all Lifelong Learning Staff and Learners are expected to wear a face covering on entry to the building, in classrooms and workshops and when moving around the building (ie in corridors and communal areas). The recommendation to wear a face covering will be introduced for a limited time, and as with all measures, Lifelong Learning will review this regularly to reflect updated government guidance.
Face coverings protect the wearer and others against the spread of infection because they cover the nose and mouth, which are the main confirmed sources of transmission of COVID-19.
Previous exemptions from wearing face coverings still apply.
